WHO WE ARE
Móchi Films is a film production company focused on empowering women in film, indigenous stories, and queer representation in the film industry. Our mission is to open film conversations with our unique perspective and "reindigenize" the film industry in all aspects. We have a podcast called 'BASKET HEADS' where we discuss films theory and analysis through an indigenous lens.
WHAT WE DO
From story developing to a fully completed film, Mochi Films is a femme lead independent film production company that wants to elevate and bring to life untold perspectives.
We aim to cultivate a non-violent method of filmmaking with reciprocity and reconciliation in mind. Utilizing our indigenous knowledge and techniques to redefine the medium of filmmaking. Instead of "shooting" or "capturing" we aim to "illuminate" and "engage" with the stories and the peoples in which we represent.
